Doing the Lugian Stomp

Fulfilling my role as 'support', I managed to find someone with the whithered lugian beach portal, and Indi took lady E. out for a quick tromp about. I hear lady E. made quite a few tracks in the sand as she ran about in frantic circles. *To wit, Lady E huffs and insists, " I was not running around franticly. I was merely stretching my legs...energeticly." :)* Well, it's still braver then me.. Those creatures have this rude habit of throwing rocks.. and they aim far too well for my tastes.

At this time of the year, it seems many people have thier own.. rather private persuits within the realm, as there hasn't been many about. Kita has been spending time painting giant daisies on the villa walls.. and Lume has patiently been washing it all off again with some sort of soap he has invented... I do hope it doesnt put a hole in the wall like his last invention attempted to do.

sir T.. a next-door neighbor, has been pouncing about next door, setting off fireworks. the rumbling has put Admetus on a keener edge then usual. So much so, I am thinking a quick picnic in the market square isn't such a bad idea after all.

On a side note to the evening, doesn't it seem rude to you, as it does to me, that when a person sees you in a certain place for fighting prime creatures, that they should fellow with you... and -then- tell you to leave the area... because he is now where he wants to be? It simply boggles my mind.

I Made It Through! Yeah!

I am pleased to say I made it through the quests intact this evening. Ty much to the other questors, lady M, lady E, lady M2, lady F. for all the help.

Upon awakening, I was called to join in a search for a badly named bracelet (repugnent, I believe was its name.) and a scroll. I admit that the idea of all those nasty raven's hand spellcasters gave me an awful fright... but the valiant efforts of the group proved I had nothing whatsoever to fear. We went down to a room filled with lurking shadows and made short work of them while I did my best to keep the fellowship fully healed.

Afterward we met at a crumbling cathedrial to search for a key which would open a chest in the top room and give us our scroll and a lovely red orb named 'healing heart'.. (which is what I was using to keep everyone healed btw.) After a bit of confusion, in which a couple of our party got locked behind a door and had to renter the cathedrial, we made our way down a ramp, fighting horrible fish men and red will-o-wisps.. and finally found our key!

I had been on the scroll quest a time before.. but i think i will continue to think of Indi as the one brave enough to try for the bracelet alone... as she has tried before. The scroll and heart, I think, might go to kita, if she doesnt have one yet. Perhaps My good deed will put a cork in her continued laughter over that death by a vile pumpkin I suffered.

Greetings, Salutations!... Hiya.

First things first.. the introductions. My name is sunny elfie. Its not really my fault for having such a name, you know. i am something of a mage.. not a combat mage as some.. no, most... might have you believe.. but a healing mage. I heal and thats really quite good enough for me. I was quite happy in my former place of living.. that much I am certain, but.. the details anymore.. escape me. I -do- recall being within my patron's study when the swirling vortex appeared next to the table I was sitting at. Proving impossible to ignore, I set my book down and reached out to touch it, if anything to prove to myself, like some small child seeing oddly horrifying shapes in the darkness might, that this simply couldn't be what it appeared to be. Now. I suppose that must have been something of a mistake because in the next moment of startled awareness, I was standing in a town square next to a slowly rotating blue stone. Wobbling a bit uncertainly, I laid a hand gently upon what I thought was the brace for the stone to steady myself and.. a strange sort of charge went through me at the slightest touch of the cool stone. In automatic response, I raised my hands to the sky while white stars dazzled my eyesight... much like the stars I have seen just after having hit the study ladder. How curious! (Now, of course, I know this object as a lifestone. A magical stone of returning. Able to bring people quickly to its location as well as to revive them from death. Quite a useful thing really.) This town was, I soon descovered, called Shoushi.. in a place..a world.. called Dereth.. to which there was to be no return to my patron's study.. that I have thus far descovered. It wasn't long before I met several others having just stepped through a portal from elsewhere and it was quickly decided that we should stick together for added safety in this strange world. It was within only a short time thereafter that we moved in under the same roof and I began to collect books, essays and research for my own study. Inderiel, called Indi, for short, is rather the unoficial leader of our house as she was the one to quickly have earned enough for its rent. A rather strange woman, to be sure. She has a taste for exploration like none other in our house and yet, it seems, she has unique failings.. such as her insistance that she is a wingless angel.. or showing such terror at the very sight of the little pixies this land boasts of. Belmont the Bear... what really can be said of him? He's big, carrys an axe or hammer, and roars a lot. He also seems to have caught the interrest of a gnomish sort. (I shall, in the tradition of Bloggers everywhere, refer to her as lady M.) Whom, while he finds her amusing, is often rebuffing her. (Or like I have heard said.. "playing hard to get".) Kitaya, called Kita by most who know her, is something of pain. She thinks that just because she can use a mace as well as magic, this makes her unique or somehow special. Well to give her equal thought... she is quite the adventurer when she can get out from under the mantle of magical studies. There is also Lume. This fellow had difficulties finding his niche at first but eventually seemed to settle into an alchemist's trade. He is also a wonderful cook and a fine fletcher as well. and Admetus.. who, I think, might be a whole other story. He never really descovered a calling, unless a 'supply officer' is considered a calling in this world. He was never really good at much else. and last to join us is Tan. He is Admetus' brother (so Admetus says), but they are not much alike really. Tan has hopes of someday entering into the tinkerer trade. Very unlike Admetus though, he has a good disposition for spending time keeping track of all the salvage bags. With Indi's help, we were brought into a wonderful clan called the Mystic Warriors... where we have met many wonderful people and good friends in this wonderfuly amazing new world. *For more info about the wide world of Dereth, look up 'Asheron's Call' on the web and read up on some of it's rich history.. much of which is still being created. :) *
