June bugs notwithstanding mainly because they arnt.. standing, that is.

Mostly just an update to the usual updates and whats interresting post. Going through a "im slightly bored" phaze. Not a whole lot is interresting to me right now. Thinking of just why i should start a webpage.. not sure whats the point..considering i already have this blog to keep me happy. And i have been for some number of years now. (Thanyas blogspot for being so nicely stable) so theres at least that. I have been on a drawing 'out' for nearly as long as i have been on a pen n paper game 'out'.
Well.. i am still doing stuff in minecraft.

I have been building on a town, Meepsburg, that sits between three biomes.. desert, plains, and a warm ocean. Its a little village thats grown into three districts. The main district..which is fishing, magic, and storage. district one, which is farming, (vegetables, meats, trees) and district 2, which is mining/ market. Beside the town, is a large 'bubbling' volcano. It has a high wall of rock on the townside and most of the lava slides down the side and under district 2. The otherside has a bit of a lake..now a steaming one.. geothermal. it slides over into the very very deep water between the town and a patch of swamp. That high wall on the volcanos side, has thus far, kept the district one safe from the volcano's main export. The lava slides into a crevace and into the underside caves of district 2.. and the mines. There, the villagers have an elevator and track to deliver ores to be processed and refined. (Currently being worked on) from there, the ore goes up to the surface to be made into weapons armour and tools etc. Such are often then sold at market and from there sent on to other ports (Which i have yet to develop in the main district) or caravan (also yet to develop in district 1) also working on finishing a wall around the waterside to keep the town safe from the roving pillagers from the north.

And here comes 1.20. itl be nice to see the hanging signs.. and the new blocks cherry and bamboo.
As well, i am thinking of trying to resurrect my single-player game of castletowns...using 1.20... i dunno tho.. single-player seems sooo lonely all the time.
Well.. i found a portal.. located a tiny taiga village.. but i am suffering some really odd lag.. (which could be a sign of laptop limits).
We will see if it goes anywhere.. need to get hold of a keyboard and a wired mouse or two. .. maybe a small monitor... Maybe thats what ill do with the pages.. show my progress in pictures and story. Hmm.

In Minecraft... the server I play on..
moved a few boxes around today. put some saddles downstairs....

put iron blocks into a box downstairs...

checked out the news.. still boring...still going on....

went to genshin impact... after having to reload again. finally remembered my hotkeys..
moved over my dailies into a new area. then relized it was better where i had it.. forgot how i moved it. *slap forehead*

went to mabi... thankfully remembered to permi my new wings before the event ended.
going back into hiatis with them... at least until they get an interesting prize for an interesting event.

might try to catch up (hahahaha!) in duolingo... ohh that was funny *wipes tears of laughter*

considering a few semi fav games, like timberborn or a return to rimworld.
dunno

still poofta over sims 4. have to be online to play it.. and have to be the only one up in the house to keep from lagging everyone. its not that fun.

my time on seems limited.. and dragged out. still not entirely sure if thats a good thing or not. feeling restless and .. sad really, over the whole thing.

A program plug... Now, you know its not really like me to plug software (or hardware for that matter) but there's a few out there worth the effort of passing along imo, so bear with me a little.

"Stickies" by Zhorn software

This little program pretty much does everything really useful you could possibly want in a free stickies program. It will color your words, it will remind you with music and/or a shaking alert box of attention!! of those birthdays and appointments you might be forgetting. it even has a scrolling feature for those terribly verbose moments that will not fit within regular stickie space. It is a well and thoughtfully written out program. I have never seen it glitch or lose data on my PC (unless it was my fault for erasing it.) Really need to check this one out!

Two for past moments... and a few for the present..

Had a dream about you last night.. dark curly hair, sad look... you seemed depressed and unhappy.. you felt.. tremendously sleepy. you managed what you set out to do.. took my care, mugged it, beat it up then kicked it around the yard a few times... all in one short span of time, perhaps the proof was to be blamed on a single uttered sentence. Almost hard to believe that a flame going for a good year plus, guttered and went out just like that... the bubble popped and i was left standing there in the rain with a bedraggled smelly old stray I was nearly repulsed to be in the company of. in the end result, he didn't want me.. and i realized i didn't want you either. go home again dude, please.. and stay there this time.

"Hit the road Jack, and don't come back no more no more, hit the road jack, and doncha come back no more."

Had an uncle pass away recently... I guess you could say he was my favorite uncle... as relatives go, he never seemed too bad... I made up with his wife before that all ended... I feel.. a little sad really.. not to say I was especially close to either of them really but I'm both sorry he left.. and just a little happy to think perhaps he went to be with his lady once again eh? I understand they were childhood sweethearts... married young.. stayed together all that time. He was a bit of a cookie fiend.. and a beer drinker for a time there... she was.. rather sharp-tongued but then, it seems to me most people of that era were a little wasp and sass. I remember a time, with a put together pool in the backyard.. I went round and round and round until they had to call me in for dinner. well, sorry it had to be relegated to part of a blog post, but know I never truly thought ill of ya uncle. You were alright in my book. Thanks for the time... and to see the stamps too.

Gots homework to do... don't want to do it... economics in politics is one of the most boring subjects i have ever had to indulge in for longer then 5 mins. Guargh! cannot seem to concentrate on the history, never-mind the essay. Hes an alright teacher though, i suppose... when he breaks out of the rote gotta-says.
Art Teacher is cool, for the most part.. I like jesting about with him. He's been absent more then we have though. Guess its been a tough semester all around for him. And it's true isn't it? His opinion must be worth something, or he wouldn't be worth a plug nickle as a teacher.

This might be my last post from a stable net spot... I'll get stuck on my phone again for awhile.. at least until sometime next semester when i can hopefully afford a laptop that i can use at the school. ..which still isn't 'stable' but the best i can accomplish, considering the monopoly where I live at.

So I have really enjoyed time spent hanging with Tin on Everquest 2.. and getting to be there for the new ninja skills in mabinogi as well as a new pet... even if it does have a long thin inventory space. To my guildies there... you guys are still fun to hear from, and thank you for letting me be a small part of it.

oh, and yahoo, again I say... Get with it! Your starting to become a constant annoyance!

Check this vid out. taleenntted! .. even if it is another rendition of yet another of MJ's songs.

ano...

Listening to: Nightmare Before Christmas ost, The Piano Guys
Watching: Drama- Vampire Prosecutor 2
Playing: Dragonnest
Reading: reading? um.. this post?
mood: slightly under the weather... which is too sunny for my liking.
Latest Rant: a little disgruntled over the new editing hoops to jump through on blogger. for example... the fact that the sideline pull out for labels goes out too far and offsets the main editing window with no way of getting it back to normal size. Also, the labels themselves, has a way to 'select' up to 10 labels... but no way to 'exclude' up to 10 labels. and.. while there is a way to preview posts you are editing, there is no way to see the post you were working on after it has been posted. This is especially annoying if the post you are working on, happens to be an old one.

And while I'm on the soapbox, here's another growl-out for Maplestory.. who -knows- they messed up big time, when they allowed hackers to have access to even the most secure accounts on Nexon.. Even of those who no longer play the game but play others in the Nexon fold. And then, to dare compensate with crap on maplestory only? what the heck? ok ok.. maybe I should be thankful you compensated at all.. but really.. I have zero desire to play that game ever again, nevermind that my computer will no longer even play it anymore. my greatest desire is to totally scrap those maplestory characters altogether and leave my account to the games I -do- still play.

and in a related note... what about "free2play" do most game companies not get? free-to-play does not mean.. free-to-try, not for 10 mins, or 2 days.. or until level 5. It's not a limited thing! Nor does it mean.. Free to Play.. so long as you have money to spend on items needed for additional level kudos or access to special areas to be able to continue the game with. (gasping breath!)
It means that it's actually possible to play clear through the game without spending anything in rl moneys.. But... if you want that spiffy outfit or you simply must have that flashy cool mount.. you can pay for it and look super cool as you head for the 'finish line'. you can also buy power ups or super boosts, or special resurrection tabs to help you on your way.
Not to name names, and yet I just might... but really, guys, get yer act right if yer so determined to play the part. *grumble mumble*

Feeling restless and horribly disappointed in my online game home, I'm once more considering options.. and new portals to peruse. I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes.

its a title

Listening to: "Pray for Japan" by Funky Monkey Babys
Watching: trying to think about it. .. soo hot tho.
Playing: fairyland in Facebook. stopped by online home, Mabinogi. played a bit of free Warcraft. (free2play until 20th level).
Reading: Japanese for Busy People ... who... arn't .. really that busy.
mood: hot and slightly grumpy
Latest Rant: Why is it I can't even think of a picture to go with ナ - na ??? Yeass, it -does- look like a knife.. doesn't solve the problem though! I need a NA picture I can remember!

Ahh so good to be back online once again! And with my own computer too! :D

Found a thought-provoking blog today. Seems this guy is doing similar to me, trying to learn Japanese step by step because of a lifelong interest. only problem is.. just after mentioning how cool technology is, he stopped posting... that was in Jan of 2010. Why stop?!! I just now found you!! Geez.. a few years too late, I guess. seems to ever be the case with me. ah well, guess I'll just... look through the past posts and hope for a few gems to keep me going with.

For me, it's mostly Japan, but I also have interest in knowing more about South Korea as well. Perhaps it's the whole 'Asia' thing, perhaps its all the dramas I have watched. lol! I imagine though, its a mix of both and a lot more.
Japan has a beauty in its language to me, like the words of a song you can only hum along to. There is elegance and charm in the very fiber of its people and traditions. Even as I can also see the not so wonderful things that is Japan, I feel I might could understand in some sense, as to why it is.

If I'm allowed a quote here..
"I will admit I'm not an expert on Japan. I couldn't recite the history of the country, I couldn't name the lineage of Emperors, I couldn't tell you the names of the past several Prime Ministers. I'm merely a person who has always had a fascination with a country that remains faithful to its history and traditions, and maintains a certain aesthetic tranquility, harmony and artistic quality to it, even in its bustling cities."

-Brendan にほんごがすこしわかります!(I Understand a Little Japanese!) http://brendanese.blogspot.com/2009/09/introduction.html

Kind of puts it nicely for me as well. Gambatte Nihon!

--------------

'So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.'
Matthew 7:12

What I'd like to know is, what happens should they do unto you in ways you would rather they not, even after all you have done unto them? Does karma eventually run over their dog or something?
